More than 15 trade workshops showcased their products at the ‘Opening Paths’ Expo, an event aimed at creating more job and training opportunities for young and adult individuals in Argentina.
On May 22nd, «Opening Paths» took place, the exhibition of our Trades Program at the San Martín headquarters (province of Buenos Aires), where more than 15 workshops showcased their work, shedding light on the need for training for young and adult individuals to integrate into the Argentine job market.
During the event, attendees were able to taste and purchase sweet and savory delicacies from the Baking, Pastry, Confectionery, and Candy Bar workshops. The Mexican Embroidery school captured attention and admiration, while Sewing impressed with their garments and accessories. Hairdressing, Waxing, and Manicure enhanced the beauty of their clients, and Bijouterie filled the space with «love» through their solidarity bracelet, the proceeds of which are destined for our NGO.
Matías Ronconi, President of Pequeños Pasos, and Ramiro Pérez La Rosa, Director General of Trades, offered warm words of gratitude. The workshop participants were recognized by our beloved «Tina,» the Program Director in San Martín, and an emotional letter from the Adult School further filled the Solis Street headquarters with excitement.
Among the guests, Fundación Macro stood out, as they have been supporting the Program at the national level (in 8 provinces of the country) since 2019, providing comprehensive support for their various curricula aimed at training and capacitating adults based on the labor market demand of each community. We were also visited by members of the San Martín Community, old friends of Pequeños Pasos, and other companies that support and help us address this social issue, such as Prudential and Wanama Home.
Our Trades Program works across the country, opening doors to workshops, training, and literacy spaces in communities with higher rates of vulnerability. Currently, we are present in Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Santa Fe, Misiones, Río Negro, Tierra del Fuego, La Boca, Quilmes, San Martín, Tigre, and La Matanza.
THANK YOU for joining us and helping us continue to provide new job opportunities to socially at-risk families in Argentina.
